To boldly go where no one has gone before….
As Convention attendees explore new worlds and future galaxies for news media companies, we’ll be celebrating the 50th anniversary of “Star Trek” at the PNA Foundation’s annual fundraising auction. Vulcans and Klingons alike are invited to enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, dinner and silent and live auctions.
Registration for this special event is included in your full-time Convention registration or a la carte options are available. The evening begins with a reception at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and the live auction.
In addition to the live and silent auctions, raffle tickets are sold. Each raffle ticket costs $100. With only 100 tickets or less sold each year, you have an excellent chance to win five terrific prizes, including hotel accommodations at the Winter Management meeting in the warm Caribbean. Raffle tickets can be purchased even if you're not attending. Download a raffle ticket to be mailed or faxed. Or simply type on the online form and email Melinda.
More detailed information on the 2016 Auction is available. Items are currently being collected; please review items that have been available in the past. The 2016 list will be updated in the coming weeks.
General Auction Information
Held every year during PNA's Annual Convention, the Auction is an opportunity to support the Foundation through donations and/or bids. All contributions to the PNA Foundation help to support the many training programs and statewide contests we offer. We also work to develop the next generation of readers and journalists while educating the public on the importance of the First Amendment.
Popular auction items include box and suite seats to sporting events, stays at vacation homes and luxury hotels, signed memorabilia and jewelry.
The Auction is also known for its traditional raffle. Each raffle ticket costs $100 and gives you a one-in-20 chance to win five terrific prizes, including hotel accommodations at the annual Winter Management meeting. Every year only 100 raffle tickets or less are sold.
