Newspaper of the Year Awards

The Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association (PNA) Foundation's Newspaper of the Year Contest gives PNA-member news media companies the opportunity to showcase the efforts of their entire staff. The purpose of this contest is to recognize outstanding work across all departments and including all products, with an emphasis on overall excellence. Categories now include: news excellence, advertising excellence, news presentation, editorial & commentary, best use of photography, diversity, special sections, promotions, community service and best use of video awards.

Congratulations to the 2018 Newspaper of the Year Contest winners!  Please see lists to the right.

PLEASE NOTE: 2018 is the last of the "Newspaper of the Year" Awards as we have known them since 1990.  Beginning in 2019, NOY will be easier for you to enter, with points accumulating throughout the year through other contests. Read more about this important NOY announcement. We look forward to seeing you next year in Scranton, as we celebrate our "News Organization of the Year."

The PNA Foundation supplied plaques to all winners in attendance at the awards brunch on Friday, October 26, 2018, in conjunction with the PNA Annual Convention at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. Certificates will be mailed to winners who were not in attendance with the option to purchase plaques. If you were unable to attend the awards brunch and would like to purchase plaques for your certificates, complete the 2018 Plaque Order Form and fax to (717) 703-3008, or mail to PNA Foundation, 3899 N. Front Street, Harrisburg, PA  17110.
