We know you're proud of your staff's work on your printed product. Show us the best of the best by entering the Newspaper of the Year contest. We want to see everything, from diversity to photography. Who wouldn't want to be Newspaper of the Year?
The purpose of the Newspaper of the Year contest is to recognize outstanding newspaper work, with the emphasis on overall excellence. This contest is designed to give your newspaper the opportunity to showcase the efforts of your entire staff.
The 2013 Newspaper of the Year contest rules are not yet available. Deadline to submit entries online will be Monday, August 19, 2013. Entry payment is due by 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2013. Winners will be announced in late September.
Rules, entry instructions and categories for the 2012 Newspaper of the Year contest are outlined below. Each entry is judged on a point system, including the optional categories. All points are added together for each newspaper, and the newspapers with the highest total point scores in the daily and non-daily divisions win first and second place Newspaper of the Year awards.
Awards will be presented at the PNA Annual Convention, Nov. 8, 2013, in Bethlehem, Pa. Winners or their representative(s) are asked to make every effort to attend this event to receive their awards. The PNA Foundation supplies plaques to all winners in attendance at the awards brunch. Following the brunch, certificates will be mailed to winners not in attendance with the option to purchase plaques. If you are unable to attend the awards banquet and would like to purchase plaques for your certificates, complete the plaque order form and fax to (717) 703-3008, or mail to PNA Foundation, 3899 N. Front Street, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
