Public Notice Journalism Award

In 2014, the PNA, in conjunction with the Public Notice Resource Center, started the Public Notice Untitled-1Journalism Award contest. The purpose of this contest is to recognize excellence in journalism that draws reader attention to public notices. An award will be presented annually to the Pennsylvania winner, and the winning statewide entry will be entered into the national competition to vie for the national award.

  • 1st place - Jim Lockwood, The Times-Tribune, Scranton
  • 2nd place - Christopher Ullery, The Intelligencer, Doylestown
  • Honorable Mention - Sarah Wojcik, The Morning Call, Allentown

All winners will be recognized and awarded a framed certificate at the 93rd Annual PNA Convention, Nov. 1-3, at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel. The first place winning entry will then be entered into the national competition to vie for an award of $500.  Presentation of national winner will be made at a recognized national association event in 2018.
