Want to better understand the statewide judicial evaluation process and how candidates are rated? Hear from members of the PA Bar Association’s Judicial Evaluation Commission who make it easy for you.
The Commission vets most of the candidates and provides a rating and evaluation based on standard set criteria. Knowing more about this will help reporters and editors with writing endorsements, keeping the public informed and learning what questions you legally can ask a judicial candidate.
This webinar will include a history of the Commission, why it is important, how newspapers can get involved, what is the appropriate criteria to evaluate a statewide judicial candidate, and how the process works. Learn about the process and ratings and how to refer your readers to that information.
Webinar is scheduled for 12 noon. Approximately 60 minutes long. Cost: $10 per phone line/webinar login for PNA members. $20 for non-members. To register, email Kathleen Landis or phone her at 717-703-3012, by October 22.
