Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission Executive Director John Arway will discuss the proposal by Sen. James Brewster to increase the price of fishing licenses and permits for the first time since 2005. Fishing licenses and permits are the most important sources of revenue to support the PFBC's work, including the annual stocking of 3.2 million trout. New revenue is needed to handle rising costs, including burgeoning health care and retirement obligations. Arway will also take questions and provide policy and regulation updates.
With Pennsylvania’s 1.1 million anglers, this information will be valuable and of interest to your communities.
