Pennsylvania legislators propose bills on many topics, ranging from pension reform to educational improvements and many more. But legislators also work on issues that impact more than just humans.  What measures have legislators proposed this session to protect animals? Presenters include Sen. Rich Alloway who has introduced several animal protection bills this session SB 264 (sale of shark fins) and SB 373 (anti-tethering) which are all part of a bipartisan package of pet protection legislation.  He will also discuss SB 78 which addresses kennel licenses.

Teleconference is scheduled to begin promptly at 12 noon.  Cost: $10 per phone line for PNA members.  $20 for non-members.  To register, email Kathleen Landis or phone her at 717-703-3012.

--Sen. Richard L. Alloway II (R-Franklin)
--Kristen Tullo, Pennsylvania State Director of the Humane Society of the United States
--Natalie Ahwesh, HSUS Western PA District Leader Volunteer
