USING RESEARCH INFORMATION TO DAZZLE YOUR ADVERTISING CLIENTS
Recent research studies confirm what we already know – news media organizations have a lot to celebrate. In this session, we will discuss the findings of key research reports that tout the strengths of newspaper readership and advertising. Information from Nielsen Scarborough, AdMall, NAA, and other industry resources will be shared, and participants will work in small groups to develop an advertiser presentation utilizing the data. You’ll walk away knowing that there’s never been a better time for you, or your customers, to benefit from the power of newspapers. Presenter: Jane Hungarter, PNA’s Director of Marketing and Revenue Development.
10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
DESIGN AND CONTENT STRATEGIES
Print is not dead! A redesign of your print product involves much more than just fonts and white space. Learn how revamping your print product goes beyond design concepts into content and revenue strategies to increase readership. All the while considering your brand. With examples pulled from the more than 600 projects he’s completed, Bill Ostendorf shares a game plan that considers a reader-centric model. Even with small staffs and never-ending deadlines, you can improve how your readers get your content and make money at the same time. Be sure to bring a copy of your printed product(s) for Bill’s review. Presenter: Bill Ostendorf, President and Founder, Creative Circle Media Solutions
