Sayville, Long Island, N.Y., July, 2011 – Brainworks Software, the leading provider of newspaper advertising and circulation systems for North America has announced that the Houston Community Newspapers division of ASP Westward and the Yakima Herald-Republic have gone live with their newly-installed Brainworks advertising systems, while the East Texas Community Newspapers division of Westward has gone live with the Brainworks CircSmart circulation system. In addition, the Durango Herald has gone live with their Brainworks online ad order entry system.
Houston Community Newspapers is the second of ASP Westward’s three divisions to go live with the Brainworks advertising system. East Texas Community Newspapers went live earlier in the year and Colorado Community Newspapers is scheduled to go live early in the fourth quarter.
In additional Westward news, the East Texas division became the first Westward division to launch the Brainworks CircSmart circulation system. The Houston and Colorado divisions will follow later this year.
Yakima is the first of the three Seattle Times properties to utilize the Brainworks system. The Walla Walla Union Bulletin will follow later this quarter. The Seattle Times is scheduled for its go-live in the first quarter of 2012.
On Friday, July 1st, the Durango Herald flipped the switch on the Brainworks on-line ad order entry system. Having a sophisticated and productive web-based self-service component was a key objective for Durango in this project. With the web application in place, this completes its advertising system launch. Implementation of the Brainworks circulation system is scheduled to begin later this year.
