CivicScience: New Year, New Features

  • Jan 05, 2012

Starting Jan. 4,  CivicScience introducing a series of new features for your CivicScience iQpoll that were developed over the past few months at the request of our web publisher partners.

So what's different?

The first thing you will notice is that the entire system is faster. Question lists, results, search, and filters should all be much smoother.

We have added support for article level questions, meaning that your editors can easily embed relevant questions directly inside an article.

We've eliminated the need for you to build and maintain questions feeds, added a simple priority system for engagement questions, and built an auto-approve option for our professionally designed questions.

We're introducing a new top level feature called "Populations". This lets you create priority groups of users that you can target with questions and easily analyze results. Also, cross-tab comparisons now support a third-dimension, and allow you to dig deeper into the data right from our system. Finally, comparisons also highlight key correlations among topics, helping you find interesting insights among your audience.

iQpoll for Facebook has been rebuilt from the ground up, making the connection between your website and Facebook group page seamless.

In addition to these new features, we have taken extra steps to ensure that this upgrade will not slow you down. For any new polls or targets you create, these new features will take effect automatically. But for those of you with existing targets, we will contact you soon to do the transition manually.
