The PNA is pleased to announce two additional value-added workshops to the 2013 America East program lineup. Russell Viers, an Adobe Certified instructor in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator, will offer two three-hour special workshops for anyone wishing to improve the production time and techniques of his/her news organization.
From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Tuesday, April 9, Viers will conduct a session titled “How Production Changes Today Can Save You Money Now and in the Future.” Those in attendance will learn techniques that will improve company workflow, while also saving money. During this morning workshop, Viers will help you set your news media company up for the trends rapidly changing our industry.
The afternoon session titled “Putting Out Your Newspaper Faster with InDesign and Photoshop” will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. This session will cover some key techniques that will cut hours from your weekly production cycle, allowing more time for other activities like writing more stories, selling more ads and taking more photographs. Individual sessions are priced at $79, or you could attend both sessions for a discounted rate of $150. If you’re already planning on attending America East, you can add these sessions to your itinerary for only $39 each. Registration information can be found on the America East website at www.america-east.com
