SCS president lectures at Lehigh University

 October 24, 2013, Nazareth, Pa. - Richard J. Cichelli, president of the 38 year old newspaper systems vendor, Software Consulting Services, LLC, presented several invited lectures at Lehigh University. Two presentations were given in Assistant Professor Gang Tan's graduate level computer science course CSE 411. The topics were "How a Computer Scientist became an Entrepreneur" and "Generative Programming and Programming by Optimization".

Cichelli told stories from his long career to lend historic business, science and educational perspectives. He related current concerns and innovative new developments in computer science to successfully building ubiquitous software for the newspaper business.

Mr. Cichelli was formerly Research Manager of the Computer Applications Department at the American Newspapers Publishers Association Research Institute (now the NAA) and the Co-director of the Computer Science Group in Lehigh University's Mathematics Department.
