Celebrate National Newspaper Week with PNA's 'Pennsylvania Newspapers' campaign

  • Sep 25, 2017

National Newspaper Week kicks off on Sunday, October 1. The Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association has developed a marketing campaign in conjunction with National Newspaper Week, to demonstrate that no media works harder than newspapers to provide readers with credible information about what matters most - news about local people, local government, local happenings, and local businesses - all captured by members of the local community. The campaign materials include a series of five customizable print and digital ads, a corresponding editorial from incoming PNA President Mark Cohen and a newspaper trivia quiz for readers. The complete materials index can be viewed here. Please help reiterate to readers the important impact newspapers have on their local communities! PNA is asking members to run these materials in their publications and digital products. A suggested media schedule is provided, but please feel free to modify as space permits. Please follow the campaign and share your stories by using #nationalnewspaperweek and #pennsylvanianewspapers in your social media posts. Campaign materials are available for download on the PNA website. We have provided both the general state campaign version (with the PNA logo), and a customizable version to which you can add your publication's logo. Feel free to make adjustments to the ads as needed. If you would like an additional size designed for you, please contact Lisa Strohl at lisas@pa-news.org or at 717-703-3062.
