State of Emergency: Seeking solutions to Pennsylvania's opioids crisis

  • May 08, 2018

There’s still time for your newsroom to get involved with a special statewide project examining the opioids epidemic. Print, digital and broadcast news outlets throughout the commonwealth are joining forces to provide special coverage of Pennsylvania’s Number 1 public health crisis.

More than two dozen operations – ranging in size from the Middletown Press & Journal and TV-13 to the Philadelphia Inquirer and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette – will be reporting on promising treatments and potential solutions to the problem. We’re asking for your help in our efforts to cover all 67 counties.

Deadline to submit content is May 18. All contributed stories, photos and videos will be made available for publication the week of June 24. Questions may be sent to Cate Barron or Larry Rosenthal.

We hope you’ll join us in this special statewide effort.
