  • Affordable Mail Alliance to Again Fight Major Postal Service Price Increases

    The Affordable Mail Alliance, a coalition of Postal Service customers, has been reestablished to defeat an expected Postal Service proposal to raise postage rates by as much as five times the rate permissible by law. The Postal Service Board of Governors, who must approve the Postal Service’s request, is set to decide on the matter imminently.

    America East, the premiere technology and operations conference for the newspaper industry, is scheduled to take place March 31 –April 2, 2014 at the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center in Hershey, Pa. America East offers an interactive forum for both vendors and attendees to meet in one convenient and inexpensive location.     600 attendees and 276 exhibiting personnel traveled to the Hershey Lodge and Convention Center for the 2013 America East Technology and Operations Conference from April 8-10. This year’s event proved to be informative and inspiring, with sessions geared toward productivity, discovering new markets and navigating the technology trends of today and tomorrow. America East was also a place for meeting old and new friends, and networking with this year’s 82 exhibiting companies on the exhibit hall floor.

When an enterprising reporter decided to check on Twain before publishing his demise, the author responded, “The report of my death was greatly exaggerated.”
