Analytics & Reporting Analyst – MV Digital (Iselin, NJ)

The Analytics & Reporting Analyst is responsible for providing analytics, campaign measurement, reporting and attribution for advertiser accounts including our highest value client roster. As the primary analyst, this position is responsible for analysis and insights across our portfolio of products to prove the effectiveness of our products and services to justify our go-to-market strategy and solutions. Independent analysis will steward the process of advanced campaign analytics including but not limited to setting up proper tracking, identifying KPI’s relevant to campaign objectives, producing reports, analysis and optimization opportunities for our most strategic and high priority advertisers.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Act as primary analyst for Google Analytics and Reporting tools/dashboard
    • Analyze digital metrics, including but not limited to: web traffic and user behavior, social media trends, etc., using analysis to inform business strategy
    • Monitor all campaign activity and pacing; as well as monitor for proper serving, click through action, and conversion events
    • Conduct independent analysis and directly provide recommendations for optimization to client
    • Manage reporting vendor relationship, and troubleshoot and resolve issues between our platform and the vendor
    • Develop simple, dependable automated reports and dashboards to surface key metrics in a way that delivers information in an intelligent, digestible, visually appealing manner
    • Complete dashboard reporting connections and ensure accuracy of the data represented
    • Analyze information to bring forward insights, results, and suggest optimizations to improve results
  • Develop, maintain, and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions
  • Perform and document data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design
  • Review and improve existing systems, and collaborate with teams to integrate new systems
  • Independently troubleshoot existing client campaign analytics, operations and processes, and resolve client tagging, tracking and reporting issues.
  • Test campaign setups for quality assurance; review and update operational documentation for best practices and training, as well as completing new documentation following launches to ensure a closed-loop process
  • Place test orders and QA site pages for tracking purposes
  • Implement tags through ad management platforms
  • Actively participate in Client / Agency meetings as a day-to-day digital operations team representative

Our ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or related field preferred
  • Minimum three years’ experience with digital analytics/reporting platforms including Google Analytics, Omniture, Datorama, and Data Studio, etc., preferably including one year Political/Advocacy experience
  • Certification in Google Analytics including regular interaction within the platform
  • Experience with conversion tracking with GTM/Floods
  • Advanced Excel skills (including Pivot/VLOOKUP)
  • Project management and organizational skills to manage campaign execution and performance across multiple clients
  • Familiarity with ad servers, rich media vendors, web debugging tools (Firebug, HTTPFox, Fiddler, etc.)
  • Familiarity with how websites and online ads work: HTML/JS/SQL
  • Confidence in analyzing and acting on performance data with the ability to make decisions to direct strategy, based upon report analysis
  • Ability to multi-task, handle pressure and work under deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
