Calkins Family Best Use of Video Award

This special award will recognize one entry – across all circulation divisions – that best uses video either for a single advertisement or as part of an ad campaign.

Congratulations to PA Media Group, Harrisburg, winner of the 2020 Calkins Family Best Use of Video Award!  View the winning video “Climbing the Ladder – Saint Francis University Shields School of Business“.

This contest is a category within the PNA Foundation Advertising Contest.

Judges will consider creativity, innovation and impact as well as how effectively the content reflects the value and purpose of the advertised product, company, service, event, etc. The video should demonstrate a compelling use of technology. The entry should include an explanation of the aim of the ad/campaign and the outcome (i.e., how was the video successful in increasing sales, visitors and reach for the advertiser). Potential entries exclude promotions of the newspaper, its company, and its products.

Winner of this special award receives a plaque as well as a $500 cash award, sponsored by the Calkins Family.

*Unfortunately, the March 30 awards luncheon celebrating the 2020 PNA Foundation Ad Contest winners was canceled due to the COVID-19 crisis.  Instead, we invite everyone to review and enjoy a slide show of all the award-winning entries.  Certificates and plaques will be mailed this summer, when PNA staff is able to return to the office.
