Blue Pages Initiative

PA Newspapers' Blue Pages Salute Front-Line Workers

To show support for front-line workers such as doctors, nurses, EMTs, grocery store employees, pharmacists, truck drivers, delivery personnel, restaurant workers, etc., newspapers across Pennsylvania printed blue publications (or individual blue pages) during the week of May 25 to show support for and celebrate these vital personnel who are making sure that our needs are being met during this difficult time. Our members’ efforts were enthusiastically received by members of their communities as well as the advertisers who participated. In addition, participating PNA members generated some sizable revenue through advertiser and sponsor support. Thank you to all who participated in this statewide initiative, and a special thanks to John Derr, publisher of the Chestnut Hill Local, who suggested the idea.
