Kick up your heels for the PA NewsMedia Association Foundation!
As PNA Convention attendees gather in Scranton to “Prepare 2020” we’ll be going back to the 20’s — the roaring 1920s that is — at our annual fundraising auction. PNA bootleggers and flappers can revisit the 18th Amendment while supporting the 1st Amendment! After a reception at the historic Times-Tribune pressroom, we’ll foxtrot across the alley for dinner and silent and live auctions at Madame Jenny’s.
Registration for this special event is included in your fulltime registration, so you already have the secret password!
Be extraordinary and support your Foundation by attending, bidding and dropping a few clams for a good cause. A variety of items will be available: fine jewelry, gift baskets, professional sports tickets, hotel packages and more! All contributions to the PNA Foundation help to support our many training programs and statewide contests while developing the next generation of readers and journalists and educating the public on the importance of the First Amendment.
From bathtub gin to the cat’s meow, items large or small are needed. You can donate a stay at a vacation home, tickets to a pro sports game, an autographed book, a framed print or a case of local wine, to name a few. You don’t have to be the Great Gatsby to participate and we’ll be zozzled with appreciation for your help. If you would like to donate an item or have any questions, please contact Melinda Condon at (717) 703-3002.
Registration for this special event is included in your full-time PNA Convention registration, or a la carte options are available.
In addition to the live and silent auctions, raffle tickets are sold. Each raffle ticket costs just $100. Only 100 tickets or less are sold each year, giving you an excellent chance to win terrific prizes, including a spectacular trip! Raffle tickets may be purchased even if you’re not attending. Download the online raffle ticket, complete and return to the PNA Foundation.
