Mar 22, 2020
We have been closely monitoring updates and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as state and local governments. We have also been actively following travel advisories and restrictions being placed on many news media personnel. The health, safety and well-being of our members, staff, participants and other stakeholders is of paramount importance.
We do not yet have the new dates for this event; however, we will provide them as soon as they become available.
Please feel free to email the PNA Foundation or phone (717) 703-3003 with any questions.
The program kicks off on Sunday afternoon, March 22, 2020, at PNA Headquarters. Students will gather at 5 p.m. for dinner where they’ll meet their mentors, get an overview of Harrisburg politics and prepare for the upcoming days.
On Monday, March 23, and Tuesday, March 24, participants will spend two intensive days at the Capitol visiting with Harrisburg insiders, observing committees at work, catching the House and Senate in session, meeting legislators and talking with lobbyists. All the while, their assigned mentors will be guiding them and working one-on-one with them to produce a final project. Everyone will gather on Tuesday afternoon for a recap and final analysis. The program concludes by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24.
