Janet and Stephanie, two leading experts in audience engagement, will share tips on how to write headlines that are good for readers, search engines and social platforms.
Janet Pickel has been with PennLive/The Patriot-News, Harrisburg, for 19 years as an editor, writer, digital/social producer and trainer. She lives in Middletown with her husband and 8-year-old son.
Stephanie (Kanavy) Sadowski is the digital editor at LNP | LancasterOnline. Before joining the team in 2019, she spent six years at PennLive/The Patriot-News as a digital managing producer, life and culture team leader and print page designer/copy editor. From 2001-13, she worked at The (Scranton) Times-Tribune as a copy editor, page designer, news editor and social media editor. She divides her time between Camp Hill and Lititz and has two daughters, 11 and 8.
