Heather Woolridge, director of community engagement at WITF

Heather Woolridge began her career at WITF in 1998 and has worked as a member of the TV production crew, Associate Producer, Producer, Continuity Specialist and Multimedia Production Manager. She has produced on multiple award-winning productions including six seasons of the travel series Explore PA and PA Conservation Heritage series including the Emmy nominated documentary Justice in Chester. Most recently she co-produced the Mid Atlantic Emmy Award Winning television special WITF Music Presents: Country Music in Pennsylvania.

She is the team lead for WITF’s award winning multimedia project Transforming Health. And in her role as Director of Community Engagement she has led the creation of an overall strategy and roadmap for WITF community engagement initiatives. Heather is responsible for envisioning strategic, unique engagement opportunities featuring diverse event types and audiences, creating a continuous feedback loop that results in significant community impact that drives thoughtful dialogue across cultures, generations, and regions. Heather works to forge new strategic partnerships and enhance the WITF’s role in connecting the region it serves, increasing WITF’s overall collective engagement impact.

Heather is a native of Harrisburg and received her education at Harrisburg Area Community College and Penn State Harrisburg.
