Real News and Credible Information
National Newspaper Week 2022 is scheduled for Oct. 2-8 and PNA is preparing to celebrate with our fourth annual local news publication, this year titled Pennsylvania Connections: Real News, Real Communities. This collection of articles provides a unique opportunity to showcase local journalism and the vital role of Pennsylvania newspapers to your state legislators.
We invite you to submit the best article produced by your editorial team in the past year. We are looking for positive, solution-focused stories that created the biggest impact on your community. Our goal is to remind legislators of the critical role newspapers play in delivering local news to their communities every day.
Once again, this year’s publication will be in a tabloid format to better highlight the impactful stories you provide. Please send the text of your article, related images and graphics, and a current version of your masthead to email@example.com by Friday, July 29. Photos, graphics and mastheads should be high resolution (300 dpi).
For the third year in a row, PNA collected your most impactful and engaging stories and consolidated them in the Real News newspaper. On October 4, during National Newspaper Week, members of our staff distributed the publication to legislators at the Capitol as a reminder of the meaningful work that industry professionals do to inform and educate readers in local communities across the commonwealth.
Despite much change in the past year, one constant has remained: The people of Pennsylvania continue to turn to our local newspapers for credible and reliable information. We could not be prouder of the essential work that each of your organizations does every single day. Thank you for all that you do to support our industry.
