Award Details
The Society of Professional Journalists’ Keystone Pro Chapter’s Excellence in Journalism Awards contest annually recognizes the best in journalism. This contest is open to all journalists who either lived in Pennsylvania or New Jersey when their work was published or whose work was first published in Pennsylvania or New Jersey. Online publications are welcome.

Entries are accepted through BetterBNC. Deadline to enter is March 31, 2026.
In addition to honoring the best in breaking news, investigative, feature and general assignment reporting from the year, these awards feature a section of categories for those who publish newsletters. Anyone whose work fits the criteria is eligible.
