This year’s guest speaker is two-time MLB All-Star Jason Kipnis, whose decade-long career with the Cleveland Indians included five postseason appearances and a trip to the 2016 World Series. His message to the next generation of athletes is expected to inspire and resonate long after the final award is handed out.

The show is a celebration of community pride and connection. Awards are curated and selected by the Erie Times-News sports staff. Nominees enjoy red carpet moments, special recognition in “The Clubhouse” area, and opportunities to share their season highlights with the world using #NWPAHSSA and #USATODAYHSSA.

Nominated athletes attend for free, with friends, families and fans welcome to join in what has become one of the region’s most meaningful nights for local sports.

Through initiatives like this, the Erie Times-News continues to demonstrate the vital role local journalism plays in uplifting communities and spotlighting hometown heroes.
