The Post and Courier raised over $150,000 at its 4th Annual Preserving Community Journalism Fundraiser on December 3, 2024, held at The Joe stadium in Charleston. Over 100 attendees gathered for an evening of socializing, networking, and supporting local journalism. The event featured small group interactions with reporters, presentations by key leaders, and an excerpt from an upcoming documentary about the newspaper’s growth. Donations, including a successful ‘call to heart’ auction, contributed to the funds raised. This marks the largest amount raised in the event’s history.
