2025 Recipients

Throughout the year, updates are added as grants are awarded by the selection committee of the PNA Foundation Board of Trustees. In 2025, the following grants have been issued:
- Chestnut Hill Local was granted $2,500 in support of their environmental reporter covering upper northwest Philadelphia.
- The Bucks County Herald received $2,500 towards their Bucks County Herald Live Program.
- Pennsylvania Capital-Star was granted $2,500 to help support further expanding coverage in their audio platform.
- PennLive/The Patriot-News, Harrisburg, received $2,500 towards a Dauphin County project.
- Lehigh Valley Public Media was granted $2,500 to support their Spanish Translation Pilot program.
- The York Dispatch received $2,500 towards their Access York project, to expand their video work to cover local government meetings, editorial board conversations, community outreach events, and more.
2024 Recipients
- The Northside Chronicle earned a $750 grant towards their Sura project to enhance the use of photography through different means.
- Chestnut Hill Local received a $750 grant in support of their storytelling through photography program.
- The Daily Collegian at Penn State University earned a $1,500 grant to support their Title IX Research and Reporting Lab project to raise awareness about Title IX issues.
- The Times News, Lehighton, earned a $1,500 grant in support of their Following the Dream project which rallies around high school sports players to bring the community closer and involved.
- PublicSource earned a $1,500 grant in support of their community engagement and DEIB infrastructure project, which would serve the region to live up to core values and create a mindset about what journalism is and prioritize community engagement.
- Centre Daily Times earned a $1,500 grant in support of their Government Centre Project to expand to all 35 Centre County municipalities with integration on their website to serve as a tool to connect readers with their local government.
- The Eagle Printing Company, Butler, received a $500 grant to support podcast production for Alter Eagle, improving the quality and production value to enhance community outreach.
- The Local Voice earned a $1,000 grant to assist with the opportunity for regional dialog on issues that matter to the community, revealing their importance to and impact on society today.
- The NW Local earned a $1,000 grant to allow staff to attend and record monthly meetings at Registered Community Organizations in Germantown to engage neighbors in participating at every stage by providing shared online and print content.
- The Bedford Gazette earned a $1,000 grant to increase the size of their special interest publication and grow collaboration to engage a more diverse group that will provide meaningful and helpful features in their community.
