Pennsylvanians are Connected
Since 2019, PNA has produced a statewide newspaper to showcase local journalism and its vital role in keeping Pennsylvania communities healthy and our shared democracy strong. Titled PA Connections: Real News, Real Communities, the print publication featured the journalistic work of the more than 100 newsrooms across the commonwealth.
For our 100th anniversary celebration, we wanted to share this same important message in a different format that local news media organizations provide local news that local readers cannot get anywhere else. Be sure to view PNA’s new video titled “Pennsylvanians are Connected.”
A Message from Minnesota U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar
Minnesota U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar is a dedicated advocate for press freedom and staunch defender of local journalism. She cosponsored the Journalism Competition and Preservation Act, empowering news organizations and ensuring local newsrooms have the resources to keep our communities informed. As the daughter of a long-time newspaperman, this is a subject near and dear to the senator’s heart. Though she could not attend the PNA Gala in person, the senator did not want to miss the opportunity to extend her congratulations to PNA and its members on 100 years of serving our communities.
