HELP WANTED: HANDS-ON EDITOR SHAMOKIN PA

A well-established local hometown newspaper is seeking a hands-on editor to lead our newsroom and help tell the stories that matter most to our community.

Responsibilities include:

• Editing and writing local news, features, and opinion pieces

• Working directly with reporters, photographers, and freelancers

• Planning weekly coverage and meeting print deadlines

• Maintaining high standards for accuracy, clarity, and community relevance

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has strong editing and writing skills

• Is comfortable juggling multiple tasks in a small newsroom

• Knows and values local news and community journalism

• Has prior newspaper or newsroom experience (preferred)
