Celebrating exemplary individuals throughout Pennsylvania news media for their service, support and success.

The Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association Hall of Fame recognizes individuals who have performed outstanding and distinguished service on behalf of the news media industry in the commonwealth. Hall of Famers have supported PNA, the PNA Foundation and/or MANSI Media, making a positive impact on the mission of these organizations through personal, professional and financial contributions.

In 2024, PNA will induct 100 people into our Hall of Fame in recognition of our 100th Anniversary. Award recipients will be honored at our 100th Anniversary Gala on Nov. 14 which kicks off a year of celebratory programs and events. Starting in 2025, two people will be inducted annually along with that year’s Ben Franklin, Lifetime Achievement Award and Advocate of the Year recipients.

Schedule of events at the Gala:

  • 5:30 p.m. – 7 p.m. – Reception at the Hershey Country Club Pavilion
  • 7 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. – Dinner at the Hershey Country Club
  • 9:30 p.m. – 11 p.m. – Hospitality suite at the Hotel Hershey

Congratulations to the 2024 PNA Hall of Fame Inductees!

CRITERIA: Beyond the Ben Franklin, Lifetime Achievement Award and Advocate of the Year winners, nominees for the PNA Hall of Fame may include news media leaders, PNA staff past and present, vendors, legislators, community and business leaders, legal and lobbying providers, university/college administrators or professors, philanthropists, Foundation Fellows and other financial supporters of local news. A nominee does not need to be a member of PNA or currently reside in Pennsylvania, but their impact should have been felt across the state and the news industry. Posthumous nominations are accepted.

NOMINATIONS: Nominations must be made in writing and must include a concise statement explaining why the nominee should be considered. Membership in PNA is not required to submit a nomination or to be nominated. All submissions will be reviewed by the PNA Hall of Fame Selection Committee, comprised of both PNA directors and PNA Foundation trustees.

PRESENTATION: Those selected for induction into the PNA Hall of Fame will be honored at the PNA Annual Dinner.

Thank you for the overwhelming number of nominations. Those nominated but not inducted this year will be considered for next year’s class. Check back next summer for details about the 2025 nominations.
