The Student Keystone Media Awards (formerly the Student Keystone Press Awards) contest recognizes high school and college journalism that provides relevance, integrity, and initiative in serving readers.

Any student at any public, private or parochial Pennsylvania high school, college or university who has had his or her material published in the school news publication may enter the contest. Students who have had their work published on a digital news site may enter the contest provided the site meets the criteria as outlined in the contest rules.

Divisions:

Division I = Four-year colleges over 10,000 enrollment
Division II = Four-year colleges under 10,000 enrollment
Division III = Two-year colleges
Division IV = High Schools

Category Winners:

The PNA Foundation supplied plaques to each first-place winner and certificates to each second place and honorable mention winner in attendance at the Student Keystone Media Awards Event in Harrisburg on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.


Due to ongoing public health concerns, there were no plans for an in-person awards event in 2022.  While we can never recreate the excitement and pride felt during this special celebration, we invite everyone to view the 2022 Student Keystones Presentation celebrating the winning entries.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the PNA Foundation’s Student Keystone Media Awards Luncheon scheduled for April 8, 2020, was canceled. While we can never recreate the excitement and pride felt during this special celebration, we invite everyone to review the slide show of the 2020 Student Keystone Award Winners, “It Can Wait” Winners and “Stop Cyberbullying” Winners. All winners names are included as well as selected first place entries.
