Since 2018, PNA has produced a statewide newspaper to showcase local journalism and its vital role in keeping Pennsylvania communities healthy and our shared democracy strong. PA Connections: Real News, Real Communities, which featured the journalistic work of more than 100 newsrooms across the commonwealth in 2023, is distributed to all 253 legislators in the state Capitol every October to celebrate National Newspaper Week and remind lawmakers that our local news organizations provide local news that local readers cannot get anywhere else.
