PNA Foundation Advertising Contest

The PNA Foundation Advertising Contest recognizes advertising departments across Pennsylvania that continue to produce outstanding printed and digital classified and display ads, campaigns, and special publications and efforts worthy of much recognition.

Judges will consider the objective, strategy, and result as well as design and attractiveness for all ads.

The contest is open to Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association member organizations who are in good standing, as well as non-member Pennsylvania news organizations that meet the following criteria: at least six months of continuous publication, availability to the general public, regularly updated content, adherence to ethics and standards of journalism, and no promotion of special interests of groups, individuals or causes.

Entries eligible for competition must have been published digitally or in print, between January 1, 2018, and December 31, 2018.

Deadline to enter is 11:59 p.m., on Friday, July 26, 2019.

IMPORTANT REMINDER:  Please note that participating in the Ad Contest will increase your chances of winning News Organization of the Year (NOY) Awards. In order to accumulate points towards NOY throughout 2019, you should enter both the Keystone Press Awards and the Advertising Contest.  No additional entry processing or fees are needed, but you must enter these contests in order to gain points. Don’t be left out when the News Organization of the Year Awards are announced this fall!

Printed entry guidelines and rules will not be mailed this year.  Please download the contest rules, entry instructions, and category descriptions.

All winners will be honored at an awards luncheon during the PNA Advertising Conference on September 26, 2019, in State College.

Questions? Contact the PNA Foundation or phone (717) 703-3003.

Helpful Tip

Save entries throughout the year! To avoid the frantic rush during next year’s contest period, we recommend that you save your potential entries in a special file on your computer, or create a MyScrapbooks page through the BetterBNC website. Then when contest time rolls around, you simply search that file for your best work!
