Recommendations
What apps or computer programs would you recommend to your peers in the news media industry?

We have always worked remotely with no physical office or overarching software for news production. We use Word and Adobe, both of which work well for us. We've used both MailChimp and Constant Contact for the email newsletter; I prefer Mail Chimp but Constant Contact is integrated with our donor/subscriber database, which is DonorPerfect.

For the website, we use Town News, which offers the "BLOX" software for web site management. We transitioned to them about 2 years ago and I found them very cost effective and good to work with.
