Promotional Spotlight: The Citizens’ Voice Readers’ Voice Awards Contest

Promotional Spotlight: The Citizens’ Voice Readers’ Voice Awards Contest

After 25 years, The Citizens’ Voice (Wilkes-Barre) is bringing back a favorite – the Readers’ Voice Awards Contest. Over a one-month period, readers will have the opportunity to cast their votes for their favorite places to shop, people and services, and dining and entertainment venues. As added incentive, readers who submit a ballot from either the print or digital editions will be entered into a drawing for three $50 gas cards each week throughout the voting period.

Plans to promote the contest include house print and digital ads, as well as local billboard and radio ads. Additionally, The Citizens’ Voice will host a cocktail party at the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts to celebrate the winners.

The Citizens’ Voice is also encouraging local businesses to purchase a 1 column x 2 inch “Vote for me” ad that will run in the newspaper during the voting period. Contest winners will have the opportunity to choose from one of three ad packages that will appear in a corresponding special section on May 4.
