We look forward to gathering in person again this year to recognize and honor outstanding student journalists and winners of the 2024 Student Keystone Media Awards!  The event will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at WITF’s Public Media Center, 4801 Lindle Rd., Harrisburg, PA  17111.

NOTE: When using GPS, be sure to type in “4801 Lindle Rd., Harrisburg” (NOT “WITF”) to get to the correct location!


The PNA Foundation will supply plaques to all first-place winners and certificates to all second place and honorable mention winner in attendance at this special event. Certificates for non-attendees will be available for pick up at the conclusion of the event. Certificates not distributed at the event will be mailed to the winning schools by the end of April.

PRE-REGISTRATION is required for all student winners attending the event to ensure their names are called during the presentation.

The PNA Foundation covers the cost of the event for all Student Keystone Winners. The registration cost for any guests (i.e. advisers, school officials, family, friends, etc.) is $35 per person.

Confirmations with details about the event will be sent on Monday, April 8.

WITF is kindly offering LIMITED tours (first-come, first-served) of their facility to students at 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.   If interested, you should plan to arrive by your assigned time.  Be sure to designate your interest in this unique opportunity on the registration form!

  • 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. – “Ask me anything” sessions for students with professional journalists Scott Blanchard (WITF), Tim Lambert (WITF) and Ted Sickler (LNP, Lancaster)
  • 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. – Advisers can meet with WITF’s Vice President of Education, Andrea Kolb, to discuss media literacy topics, including collaborations with news media organizations
  • 11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. – Tours of WITF’s Public Media Center for students (limited availability so register early!)
  • 12 p.m. to 12:40 p.m. – Lunch and networking opportunity
  • 12:45 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. – Welcome from WITF’s CEO, Ron Hetrick, followed by presentation of awards
